The STEMShip Summer Internship Program is an opportunity for hard working juniors and seniors in high school to intern during the summer at research labs and private companies located in the DC Metropolitan Region. The program is open to students in schools within Washington DC, as well as the neighboring suburbs in Virginia and Maryland.

Through this program, students will have the opportunity to work alongside scientists, technologists and engineers to tackle important social and scientific questions, develop new technologies and gain essential skills that foster critical thinking and promote intellectual growth. Early involvement in professional STEM work will also prepare students for the rigors of higher education at colleges and universities.

Applications are now being accepted for the internship program for Summer 2018. The deadline to submit the application is May 1st. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so students are encouraged to apply before the deadline. For more information and to apply, please visit the website.
