The DC STEM Network was launched in 2014 as a collaboration between the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) and the Carnegie Academy for Science Education (CASE). As of August 2018, the Network is managed by OSSE. The DC STEM Network unites community partners to help inspire and prepare all DC youth to succeed, lead and innovate in STEM fields and beyond.
The Network is led collectively by representatives of the local Pre-K-12 and higher education system, community organizations, employers and STEM institutions. Together, these individuals and organizations form working groups dedicated to addressing STEM in schools, out-of-school time, professional development, work-based learning, mentoring and volunteering, and events.
