The Master of Arts in Teaching program is seeking qualified professionals and undergraduate students who are interested in teaching elementary and middle-school science.

The Program Offers:

  • $20,000 to pursue a graduate degree (M.A.T.)
  • $10,000 Teaching Fellowship, in addition to your teaching salary, each year you work in a high need middle school classroom (up to 4 years)

You are eligible for the fellowship if you::

  • earned an undergraduate degree in Engineering or any natural science
  • have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
  • pass the Praxis Core exam (Writing, Math and Reading)
  • are a citizen or permanent resident of the United tates
  • are a woman, a minority population in the sciences, or person with a disability
  • apply and are admitted to the UDC graduate school
