The College Qualified Leaders (CQL) program matches practicing Department of Defense (DoD) scientists with talented undergraduate students creating a direct mentor-student relationship, providing participants with training that is unparalleled at most colleges. CQL students receive firsthand research experience and exposure to DoD laboratories. The program fosters desire in its participants to pursue further training and careers in STEM. Selected participants receive a stipend based on education and experience and may participate year-round. The CQL internship is primarily designed for greater than 6 month work-study internships and are available year-round although internships are available for the summer only as well. Applications are accepted throughout the year- there is no application deadline for most of the program locations.

  • U.S. Army Research Laboratory- Adelphi, MD
  • U.S. Army Research and Development Center Geospatial Research Laboratory- Alexandria, VA
