The Archi-Builder Modular Environmental Response Shelters Workshop is a multi-series architectural program that will engage students in the design process used by architects to build scale models of habitable spaces of their own imagining. At each session, the young architects will work in teams to learn processes and techniques to progress their ideas into a final design. The program is run by the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA/DAC) and will be located at the District Architecture Center.

Architecture is one of the most exciting fields that not only uses all of the STEM skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) but also encourages creative thinking through art and design skills. This workshop is open to children ages 9-14 years old and costs $75 for children of AIA/DAC Members and $90 for children of non-members, scholarships are available.
