FLEET Competition Deadline

April 30

Free

F.L.E.E.T. is an innovative, competitive ship design video game for high school students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The competition is free to U.S. students in grades nine through twelve. FLEET utilizes the youth friendly model of gamification to engage high school students in naval ship design and enables them to apply the real-life applications of STEM. Working individually, students compete via a web-based platform to complete several scenarios faced by naval engineers on a daily basis in the field. The entire competition occurs online. The competition opens January 13, 2017 and must be completed by April 30, 2017. Exceptional student performers will be invited to a capstone event for an onsite competition to be held in May 24-25, 2017 at the Intelligent Ships Symposium XII in Philadelphia, PA.

Interested in becoming a part of F.L.E.E.T?  If you are a student, teacher, volunteer, or someone who is simply interested or has questions regarding the program, please contact us at fleet@navalengineers.org. Or visit: http://www.navalengineers.org/Students/FLEET/For-Educators to learn more.
